CANBERRA SINGLE FREQUENCY NETWORK TRIAL

Abstract
An experimental L-Band DRB network has been operating in Canberra since March 1997. The facility, established jointly by the Communication Laboratory and National Transmission Agency (NTA), will be used for demonstration purposes, and as a platform for planning and technical investigations into this broadcast technology. This report provides a brief description of the transmission facilities and presents the results of initial outdoor coverage measurements.
