On Sunday Sept 30  a group  of  local enthusiasts will be conducting a
'National Capital -  Radio/Phono Fest'.
Most are members of the  Historic Radio Society of Australia (HRSA).  The
society supports the preservation, enjoyment and restoration of early radio
equipment - predominantly broadcast receivers but some members are
interested in military and ham equipment.
It will be held in the Uniting Church's Lewis and Shakespeare Halls at the
junction of Fawkner and Farrer Sts in Braddon.
The All Day Market starts at 0900.  At 1pm a series of workshops will start
covering 'Working in bakelite', 'AWA Early history and hardware',
'Collecting & restoring phonographs' and 'Identifying and enjoying old
valves'.
At 3pm a speed auction will commence.
Admission $5.
The Historic Radio Society of Australia (HRSA) will have a stall offering
membership and back issues of their magazine etc.
Come along and learn how good the old days really were!
Remember  ... Sunday of the long week end Sept 30 - 9 am at the corner of
Fawkner and Farrer Sts in Braddon.
