G'day,
Does anyone know how to get an external PS2 mouse working on an IBM
ThinkPad under W98?
We have a 240X with PS2 port. Booting with a (working) PS2 mouse
freezes at the BIOS level.
Hot plugging in after boot up does nothing. Plugging in a USB mouse
with USB to PS2 adaptor
works perfectly on boot or hot-plugging. In all cases the internal
track mouse works OK, but
disabling this in the BIOS doesn't help. And no, the solution is not
the obvious, as the PS2 mouse
is a special for a disabled person (not available in USB)!
IBM do not appear to have drivers for the PS2 port, only for the
tracker, and these have been tried
without success.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DG
