[Techlunch] Looking for big rocks

Hi all,

I am sending this message in the hope someone in the group may hav e some knowledge and experiance in Ground Penetrating Radar.

As part of the estimate inproviding mains power to Mt Tennant, an allowance has been made in the likely event that rock is encountered. The trouble is that the amount of rock found is likely to seriously blow the budget.

It is thought that it may be possible to survey the route to get a better idea of the quantity and location of rocks which are going to cause problems.

Does anyone know if such a device is available in Canberra and what the capabilities of such a device are.

Any help would be most thankfully received.
