[Techlunch] Delay between AM broadcasting and DAB in Canberra

Following last Friday's discussion re the problem caused by an Analogue and
DAB RX turned to the same program in a busy house in the morning and why
this cannot be fixed the link below is informative:

There are quite a lot of articles on this issue if you Google 'delay between
digital and analogue radio reception'.

 

I had no realised that you cannot accurately set your watch from a DAB radio
(unless it displays the time..)  Those long wave radio locked clocks will be
unlikely to work in Aus..
