Many thanks Neil,
The information on where to find the information is appreciated.
Legislation can be a minefield if you ar not skilled in interpreting the language.
Despite that if you find yours self in a difficult situation an overview can be of assistance rather
than relying on hearsay from unknown sources.
Appreciate the need for security on a site such as this, so no drama.

On another site we had a case were a subscriber had no proper ID
and was promulgating inappropriate material, before he/she/it could be banned he/she/it unsubscribed.
that worked.

Identifiable facts work every time, best way to go.
Cheers,
Amanda,
VK1AH.

>>> You can find this in the Road Transport (Road Rules) Regulation 2017, specifically under Section 300, which defines the use of mobile phones while driving.
>>> In the ACT (and most Australian states), the legal definition of a "mobile phone" specifically excludes a CB radio or any other two-way radio. Because they are not classified as mobile phones, the strict "no-touch" and mounting laws for phones do not apply to your radio microphone in the same way.
>>> However, Section 297 of the same regulation requires you to have proper control of your vehicle at all times. If using the microphone causes you to swerve or drives distractedly, you can still be fined for "not having proper control."
