Friday 30 October 2026
10am - Interment of ashes at Gungahlin Cemetery,
80 Sandford Street, Mitchell ACT.
Family and friends to gather at
Sanctuary Creek Memorial Garden
Middle of Section 19 on the map. Close to the Rotunda that is visible from the car park. It is a short walk from the highlighted car park. (There is a waterway between the car park and Section 19, but there is no bridge).
Tranquility Garden – Alongside the Rotunda. Plot Number TGR108
This will be a short ceremony when Tony’s ashes are placed in their resting position.
Memorial Gathering
One the same day, Family and Friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering:
12 noon to 4pm in the Entice function room at Gungahlin Lakes Golf & Community Club, 110 Gundaroo Drive Nicholls ACT
Smart casual attire acceptable
ACT residents are not required to be club members.
ALL attendees require valid photo ID.
This will be an informal gathering. Tony’s sons Paul & Stuart, will make opening remarks and welcome. Others will be invited to share their reflections IF they would like to do so. Drinks, hot & cold finger food, coffee, tea, water etc. will be provided. Hopefully the gathering will provide a happy, reflective get together of Tony's family and friends as we celebrate Tony’s time on earth.
