Hello Bill,

Oldest mag found so far is 1995 - one still intact.
Unfortunately it does not have a M-2480 in it but has a similar one M-1100

Quote:-
Audio Line Transformer
Ideal for most PA-BGM applications.
Suits all speaker impedances.

Rated - 4watts
Primary - 2.5k, 5k ohms
Output Windings 2,4,8,16 ohms

Picture is typical of standard audio transformer with the 2 bolt hole lugs at the bottom and solder tags for the terminals.
Hope that has helped - can send a picture if you wish but hope someone else has the real thing.
Cheers
Rob

Subject: [Techlunch] Line speaker transformer

Dear gentle folk,

Does anyone have an old (real old) Dick Smith catalogue? You know, the ones that used to have real information in them!!

I have a couple of transformers, which I'm pretty sure are 70V/ 100V / 8Ω. The stock item number is M-2480.
The 8Ω side is obvious, but there are 3 wires on the HV side, so not sure exactly how its configured!!

cheers
Bill
