G'day all,

A lot of whip antenna manufacturers appear to be using

a "Q-FIT" threaded mounting between a barrel spring

and the whip.  This enables rapid whip removal from the

mounting.


Does anyone know the mechanical details of the Q-FIT?

Sizes, threads & electrical would be interesting.  So far I have

only seen them as part of a barrel spring mounting.


Any sources would be appreciated.
